Multi sport adventure (8 days – 7 nights)
Hikes in the cloud forest, experience a volcano hike at night, bike in an antique city, zip line, kayak in our Great Lake among hundreds of islands covered with lush tropical vegetation, horse ride in the far north of Nicaragua, sand board down an active volcano… If you are looking for a busy adventure this is the right package for you! Note: Hikes are moderately strenuous (maximum 2-3 hours hikes up).

On your arrival at the International Airport in Managua, you will be transferred to your hotel Camino Real (3* sup) in Managua with the complementary shuttle bus. Meals: –
Breakfast and transfer to Granada, the jewel of Nicaraguan cities. On the way, visit Mombacho, a 1400 meters high volcano. It’s been extinct for many years now, and it is totally covered with vegetation. A powerful truck will drive all the way to the top of the volcano. We will go through coffee plantations, which offers exceptional sites to discover its flora and fauna. From the top hike 1h30 around one of the craters with different boasting incredible views to the crater, Granada, and the Islets of Lake Nicaragua.
Optional today: Hike the Tigrillo (3 hours) or Puma Trail (4-5 hours), more challenging hikes that go around the other craters and offers stunning views.
Following your hike, continue your adventure with a Canopy Tour. This tour offers you an unforgettable experience sliding down from tree to tree through several platforms and bridges very safely built, overlooking the coffee plantations. Eventually arrive in Granada, accommodation in your Hotel Patio del Malinche 2* sup, located in downtown, free time to visit the city. Meals: B
This is a day full of adventures! Go biking in the city to admire the neo classic colonial style buildings. Granada has an interesting background history and is known for its beautiful well-preserved architecture. Visit places like the central park, the popular and very old market and the Iglesia La Merced; we climb the stairs inside the tower and enjoy greats views of the city. Then, bike all the way to Lake Nicaragua and arrive in the Asese peninsula following rural path, enjoy pristine views and nature. There, you will go for a kayak tour on the Lake to discover some of the rich flora and fauna of the Isletas. You will be able to observe some of the many species of tropical birds that live in the islands and the local “Isleños” fishing. This great day is complete with a night visit Masaya National Park, an active volcano currently displays gaseous activity and most recently a red-glowing lava lake was originated and it is visible inside the main crater of the volcano. Return to Granada, free time to relax and explore the city.

Today we leave Granada and transfer you to Leon city, one of the oldest colonial cities in Central America.
Along the way, we stop at Catarina, a small native village overlooking the Apoyo lagoon and Lake Nicaragua, Granada and the Masaya volcano. From there you will hike down inside the dry forest in the “caldera” of the extinct volcano, which now hosts a beautiful lagoon: The Apoyo Lagoon. On the way, observe birds and monkeys. Once you reach the lagoon, transfer to a small resort located in front of the water. Swim in Nicaragua’s purest lagoon, in a beautiful natural environment. After the tour continuing to Leon City arrival and check in at your Hotel Flor de Sarta 2* sup. Meals: B-L
Early morning transfer east to discover one of Nicaragua’s monsters: Cerro Negro active volcano. Hike to the top (Less than 1-h) and enjoy overwhelming views once you reach the active crater, sulfur coming out from many places and views to neighbouring volcanoes such Telica, Momotombo, Pilas-El Hoyo, as well as the Pacific Ocean, 20 miles away complete the experience.
As optional (not included) you may do “Sandboarding”; an exciting sport which allows visitors to descend the black sands of Cerro Negro strapped onto a board. Truly, the ride of your life! Then, transfer back to Leon visiting San Jacinto village located between 2 volcanoes and hosting the “Hervideros”, geysers whose vapor with 300°C leaves the entrails of the ground permanently. Overnight at your Hotel Flor de Sarta. Meals: B
Morning transfer north to the base of Telica Volcano, a very active volcano and the last to erupt back in 1999. At start you will hike up with a 4WD in a rough trail, and then continue walking. After 3 hours hiking reach the top of this huge mountain. See the activity, incandescent rocks inside the crater and enjoy a beautiful panorama to the surrounding areas. Afterwards hike down and continue to Chinandega and Cosiguina area, a remote and rural area located in the far north western Nicaragua. Eventually arrive at a 950 acres’ ranch or “Finca”; Dinner and night at Hacienda Hato Nuevo 1* (Rustic). Meals: B-Box lunch-D
Today go for a horseback riding tour with your local guide, cowboy from the area, in the dry forest surrounding the ranch. During your horseback riding tour, see many species of centenary, tropical trees, lush vegetation and plants and flowers. Reach a “Mirador” (lookout) where from you will be able to see the Gulf of Cosigüina, which divides Nicaragua and El Salvador. Return to the ranch for lunch. In the afternoon, we transfer you to Managua City. Overnight at your Hotel Camino Real 3* sup. Meals: B-L
