Arrival in Panama CityDay 1: Arrival in Panama City

Upon arrival to Panama, our driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer you privately to your city hotel for your first night in Panama. Panama City is a thrilling location you will surely enjoy during your visit to this gorgeous country!

Gatun Locks & Panama Canal Expansion & San Lorenzo FortDay 2: Gatun Locks & Panama Canal Expansion & San Lorenzo Fort

Early morning, transfer to the impressive Agua Clara locks, situated on the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal. The Agua Clara Visitor Center is a place where the Panama Canal has made it clear that both its legacy and its grandeur will continue to bear fruit for the world. With an unparalleled view, you will enjoy here a pleasant experience enriched with interesting facts, but especially by being part of the history of the route that unites the world. See the ships just a few feet away from you as they pass through the Gatun lake locks. An unforgettable experience! We then head to Fort San Lorenzo the Spanish fort, which is situated at the entrance to the Chagres River. From the Fort you have beautiful views of the Caribbean and the entrance to the Panama Canal. To complete the tour, a delicious typical Panamanian lunch will be served at a local restaurant, after lunch you will be driven back to your hotel in Panama City.

Full day Panama City tour & Miraflores locksDay 3: Full day Panama City tour & Miraflores locks

Today visit the beautiful Panama City and the Miraflores Locks. Start with a drive to Miraflores to see the huge vessels passing the Panama Canal. You will be able to see many ships getting lifted or lowered 16 meters in two distinct steps. Enjoy the view on the Locks from a sheltered terrace and listen to the explanations of your guide. Also, visit the Museum and Visitor Center at Miraflores which gives you a good idea on the construction of the Canal. Then, continue to the Amador Causeway, a road that connects three Islands in the Pacific Ocean and offers magnificent views on the Canal on one side and on the skyline of Panama City on the other side. In Casco Viejo, Panama City’s colonial quarter, admire the lovely colonial houses, the narrow roads and the impressive churches. Then, visit Panama Viejo, the Old Panama, the first European settlement on the Pacific coast of the Americas. This first Panama City was looted and destroyed by the notorious English buccaneer Henry Morgan in 1671, see the ruins of the city and the tower of the ancient cathedral still standing.

Panama City - David – BoqueteDay 4: Panama City – David – Boquete

Morning private transfer to a domestic airport in Panama City to fly to David. Upon arrival, we transfer you to Boquete. Check in at the beautiful Finca Lerida, a lodge in midst of a Coffee Plantation.
Later, enjoy an amazing hike in the cloud forest. The hike retraces the steps of pre-Columbian Indians into remote virgin cloud forest surrounding the perimeter of Volcan Baru National Park. The trail parallels Quebrada La Mina, a gorgeous creek that meanders through the ridges and valleys above Boquete, falling over a spectacular wall of water and finally spilling into Rio Caldera. You will have the opportunity to see beautiful waterfalls and rare birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the base of one of the waterfalls in Boquete and rejuvenate yourself with an invigorating shower.

Boquete - Bocas Del ToroDay 5: Boquete – Bocas Del Toro
You will be taken from Boquete to Isla Colon on the paradisiacal Bocas Del Toro archipelago. This transfer starts with a lovely 4 hours’ private drive through the highlands and down to the Caribbean coast where you board a boat to Bocas Del Toro.

Free Day in Bocas Del ToroDay 6: Free Day in Bocas Del Toro

Free day at leisure to spend in Bocas Del Toro. Take advantage of this free day and participate in one of the optional tours such as snorkeling, dolphin watching, and hiking or just relax at the beach.

Bocas del Toro – Panama City – Embera IndiansDay 7: Bocas del Toro – Panama City – Embera Indians

You will be transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Panama City. On your arrival, you will be taken to a Cultural tour: You will be taken to up north towards Lake Alajuela. A large, fascinating and dense jungle will accompany you until you arrive at the Emberá Quera village, based on the banks of Gatun Lake. On arrival to the village, you will be taken back in time as you observe the ancient Embera’s dances and music that have hardly changed since Christopher Columbus arrived in the 1500’s. The tribe still lives in harmony with Mother Nature. During the tour, you will learn about the history of the tribe, its traditions, cultures, believes and handicrafts. After enjoying a traditional lunch, you will experience a traditional Emberá dance and may even get a temporary Emberá tattoo painted on your arm or leg, using an ink made from a local fruit.
